4th India–Iceland FOC Strengthens Bilateral Cooperation 🇮🇳🇮🇸
The 4th India–Iceland Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) were held in Reykjavik today.
Secretary (West) Sibi George co-chaired the consultations with Martin Eyjólfsson, Permanent Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iceland.
Both sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation and agreed to further strengthen collaboration in trade & investment, renewable energy including geothermal, fisheries, and people-to-people ties. They also underscored that the India–EFTA–TEPA has opened a new chapter in economic and commercial relations, and committed to deepening business linkages.
The discussions also included an exchange of views on regional and global issues of mutual interest, reaffirming the strong and growing partnership between India and Iceland.
