Showcasing Indian Stories Viduthalai Screening in Reykjavik

Indian Film Festival 2025 — Day 7 Shines Bright in Reykjavik!

The Embassy of India in Reykjavik, in collaboration with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC), hosted an engaging screening of the acclaimed Tamil film “Viduthalai” as part of the ongoing Indian Film Festival 2025.

The event brought together a vibrant mix of film enthusiasts, members of the Indian diaspora, culture lovers, and Friends of India, who gathered to celebrate the depth, diversity, and artistry of Indian cinema. The screening provided audiences in Iceland with a glimpse into India’s powerful storytelling traditions, rich cinematic heritage, and regional filmmaking brilliance.

“Viduthalai,” known for its gripping narrative and compelling performances, received an enthusiastic response from viewers, sparking meaningful conversations about contemporary Indian cinema and its global appeal.

The Embassy expressed its gratitude to NFDC India for their partnership in bringing high-quality Indian films to Reykjavik and looks forward to more cultural engagements that strengthen the cultural bridge between India and Iceland.

A heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us on Day 7 and helped make the festival atmosphere warm, lively, and memorable!
