Interacting with the participants at the Grand Finale of #SmartIndiaHackathon2023 today, the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi conveyed words of encouragement, emphasizing that the enthusiasm, self-confidence, and determination for nation-building have become defining attributes of the youth of India. Hon’ble Prime Minister said that India of 21st century is moving forward with the mantra of ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Anusandhan.’ And he also added that the world is confident that in India it will find low-cost, quality, sustainable and scalable solutions to global challenges. Union Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan expressed his gratitude to Hon’ble Prime Minister for providing a dynamic leadership and guidance to the youth of the country. He highlighted that the number of teams in 2017 stood at 7531, and this figure has witnessed a remarkable sixfold increase, reaching 44617 teams in the current year. He also mentioned that this year 267,000 participants are poised to channel their creative energies towards the development of 51,000 new ideas He also said that initiatives like SIH are going to connect the new generation to the development of the country and such efforts will fulfil the aim of building Viksit Bharat by 2047.
