Munich, Germany — October 26, 2025 — Colors, sounds, and flavors filled Munich as the Bharat Diwali Mela 2025 brought together over 1,900 people. Organized by Delhi in Germany, the event went beyond community lines, showing the diversity of the Indian diaspora in Munich.

A Celebration of Unity

Bharat Diwali Mela 2025 showcased unity in diversity. Groups from all parts of India—from Kashmir to Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat to Assam—took part. The mela offered a lively mix of art, crafts, music, and food, taking visitors on a journey through India’s many cultures.

Distinguished Guests

The event was graced by Mr. Rajiv Chitkara, Head of Cultural Affairs, as Chief Guest. In his speech, he praised the growing cultural links between India and Germany and congratulated Delhi in Germany for uniting the community.
“Bringing the Indian community together celebrates our shared roots,” he said. “It builds understanding and strengthens bonds.”

Other guests included Mr. Sarma Aryasomayajula, Chairman of Sivalayam Temple, as Guest of Honor, and Mr. Vijay Lugani. They both spoke about how cultural events help strengthen community ties.

The Team Behind the Event

The success of Bharat Diwali Mela 2025 came from a passionate organizing team — Shobhit Sarin, Divyabh Tyagi, Nikita Shukla, Chetan Kapoor, Arun Gupta, Atul Arora, and Siddharath Lugani. Their teamwork and energy made the event memorable.
