Ms. Cecilie Terese Myrseth, Minister of Trade and Industry of Norway, was visited by Mr. Sunil Barthwal, Vice Minister, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, India, and his group. They had a brief discussion about TEPA. Additionally, he invited Ms. Myrseth to travel to India as soon as possible with a business team.
Mr. Barthwal then met with Mr. Tomas Norvoll, State Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, who was joined by Ms. Silje Christine Andersen, First Secretary, Royal Norwegian Embassy in New Delhi, Mr. Erik Andreas Underland, Specialist Director, Ms. Marit Djønne, Senior Advisor, Ms. Emilia Ryen, Advisor, Mr. Cristian Carter, Counselor (Commerce), and Ms. Nina Christine Rør, Director General. They talked on the upcoming phases of the India-EFTA Trade Agreement’s implementation. Both parties urged the business community to make the most of TEPA.
In order to explore new cooperation and investment prospects in India, Mr. Barthwal also extended an invitation to the Norwegian investor community to visit the country. In order to further improve bilateral trade, they also talked about other topics.
