A high-level Ministerial delegation from Karnataka, led by Dr. Sharanprakash Patil (Minister of Medical Education & Skill Development) and Dr. Sudhakara Reddy (Minister of Higher Education), visited Düsseldorf from 1st to 4th July 2025. The visit was supported by the Economic Promotion Office of Düsseldorf and aimed to strengthen cooperation in skill development, innovation, and higher education.
Consul General Mr. B. S. Mubarak joined the delegation for several key stakeholder interactions and participated in the concluding session of the visit.
The delegation engaged with major institutions and companies including Schneider Electric, Rheinbahn AG, Sana Kliniken, Heinrich-Hertz Berufskolleg, and the NRW Ministry of Economics. On 4th July, they were warmly received by Lord Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller at the historic Jan-Wellem-Hall, alongside senior city officials Mr. Christian Zaum and Dr. Nikolaus Paffenholz.
During the discussions, both sides explored new avenues for collaboration, particularly in education, skills training, and innovation. The Lord Mayor reaffirmed Düsseldorf’s strong ties with India, referencing the city’s growing ecosystem of Indian IT companies such as TCS, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra.
In their remarks, Dr. Patil and Dr. Reddy expressed appreciation to the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and the City of Düsseldorf for their continued support and interest in partnering with Karnataka. Consul General Mubarak extended his gratitude for the city’s welcoming environment, which has fostered a thriving community of Indian professionals, students, and investors.
