India Germany Roundtable on Digital Inclusion and Skilled Workforce Highlights Indian Expertise and Collaboration in Frankfurt

A roundtable conference, “Strengthening Digital Inclusion – Promoting Skilled Workers, Shaping the Future Together!” was held on 13th May at City Parliament House in Frankfurt. The conference was hosted by Mr. Rahul Kumar, Member of City Parliament, Frankfurt.

Consul General, Mr. B.S. Mubarak participated at the roundtable as the Key Note Speaker and gave an overview of the skilled manpower landscape in India and also shared India’s contribution in the area of digitalization. He gave an overview of the Indian IT companies based in Germany and their role in digitalization of German Mittelstand. Lord Mayor of Frankfurt, Mr. Mike Josef during his speech stressed on lack of #skilledManpower and #digitalization as major challenges in Germany and applauded the role of Indian professionals in bridging this gap.

Ms. Ursula Busch, Chairwoman of the SPD Parliamentary Group Frankfurt, in her remarks welcomed Consul General and also highlighted the positive contributions of Indian diaspora in various fields.

Experts from India including from National Skill Development Council, participated in the event and gave an overview of the Skilling programmes in India. The event was attended by business leaders and representatives from Government.
