Portugal: Immigrate from India
Immigrate to Portugal From Indian national must apply for and get a long-term Visa. You can use it for many purposes. For example, you may need to work and Education purposes.
DUAL CITIZENSHIP:
Dual citizenship is allowed in Portugal. This allows foreigners to obtain Portuguese citizenship without giving up their citizenship. You will need to verify with your home country whether dual citizenship is allowed. Sometimes, you may have to give up your citizenship in order to be allowed to take Portuguese citizenship.
How to apply for a Portuguese visa?
If you’ve lived in Portugal for at least six years, you may be eligible to apply for Portuguese citizenship.
Employment Visa: (Checklist)
The following documents are part of the checklist for a Work Visa:
- The filled-in application form
- Travel medical insurance
- Two recent passport-size pictures, no older than six(6) months
- A valid passport valid for at most 3 months.
- Passport Office issue a certificate of police clearance;
- Proof of sufficient income for the payment of the stay in Portugal
- Evidence of accommodation in Portugal
- Two Copies of the contract of employment signed by both the employer and the employee.
Student Visa: (Checklist)
The following documents are part of the checklist for a Study Visa:
- Completed application form
- One-color passport-sized photo
- no criminal records
- Copy of accommodation arrangements
- A valid passport with at least one blank Visa page that is not more than three months old.
- The proof that you have paid your application fee (which can be up to 180EUR)
- Letter of acceptance from the university you applied to
- Documentation of your financial resources that will support you during your stay in Portugal
- Documentation proving proof of coverage for health insurance
- A valid ticket for travel to Portugal, or a confirmed reservation
