International Gita Mahotsav 2025
The Embassy of India in Helsinki, in collaboration with ISKCON Helsinki, celebrated the International Gita Mahotsav 2025, honouring the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita — a scripture that continues to guide humanity with its universal message of duty, righteousness, and inner peace.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Hemant H. Kotalwar commended ISKCON’s global efforts in promoting spiritual understanding, harmony, and cultural exchange. He reflected on the enduring influence of the Bhagavad Gita on generations of thinkers and leaders, recalling Mahatma Gandhi’s profound words:
“When doubts haunt me, I turn to the Gita and find a verse that comforts me, and I begin to smile even amidst sorrow.”
The event concluded with soulful kirtan and bhajans, creating an atmosphere of devotion, reflection, and peace, resonating with the eternal message of the Gita — the pursuit of truth and balance in life.
