Hon’ble Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with the vibrant Indian community in Oslo — the true “Living Bridge” between India and Norway.
She shared valuable insights on India’s economic outlook, emerging growth opportunities, and the Government’s vision for inclusive and sustainable development. The Hon’ble Minister also appreciated the Indian diaspora’s significant role in strengthening India–Norway relations and noted that bilateral ties are on a clear upswing following her productive meetings with Norwegian officials.
She warmly acknowledged the enthusiastic participation of members of the Indian community who travelled from different cities across Norway and expressed happiness at Indian festivals being celebrated regularly in the country.
The programme featured a graceful Nataraja Pushpanjali, a devotional Bharatanatyam performance set to the celebrated Tamil verse “Ulagellam Unarnthu” from the 12th-century classic Periyapuranam by Sekkizhar.
The evening concluded on a patriotic note with the entire gathering joining together to sing the National Anthem with great pride and enthusiasm.
