High Commissioner Mr. Manish Bids Farewell to Chief of Protocol Ms. Koula Sophianou
High Commissioner Mr. Manish met with Ms. Koula Sophianou, Chief of State Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, to extend his warm farewell as she concludes her distinguished tenure.
During the cordial meeting, the High Commissioner expressed heartfelt appreciation on behalf of the High Commission of India in Nicosia for her invaluable support and cooperation throughout her service. Her pivotal role as Chief of Protocol significantly contributed to the smooth functioning of the Indian Mission, particularly during the landmark visit of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, to Cyprus in June 2025.
The two also reflected on shared efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties through high-level engagements and institutional collaboration—further deepening the robust and growing India–Cyprus partnership.
The interaction reaffirmed the commitment of both nations to advancing the strategic relationship based on mutual respect, democratic values, and a shared vision for long-term cooperation.
