The High Commission of India celebrated “Reconnecting with Bharat: The Old & The New” with the Indian diaspora in Malta.
High Commissioner Mrs. Gloria Gangte honoured and felicitated senior members of the Indian community for their remarkable contributions in promoting India’s rich heritage and for fostering cultural ties between India and Malta.
The event was filled with warmth as senior community members shared their inspiring life journeys—from their beginnings in India to building a home in Malta—while preserving traditions, passing them on to future generations, and nurturing strong bonds within the diaspora.
A highlight of the evening was a captivating performance by the ICCR-sponsored Rajasthani Folk Song & Dance Group, whose soulful music and vibrant dances brought the colours and energy of Rajasthan to life.
