.The ‘Grand Dussehra Mela 2024’ held on October 19 at Riedberg’s open grounds was a vibrant celebration of Indian culture, organized by Dussehra Team Frankfurt and Indians Beyond Borders. The event was inaugurated by Shri B.S. Mubarak, the Consul General, who extended festive greetings to the Indian community and commended the organizers, particularly Mr. Ramesh Sharma, President of Dussehra Team Frankfurt.

The event drew a diverse crowd of over three thousand attendees, including both the Indian community and local Germans. It featured captivating cultural performances showcasing traditional Indian dance and music, a variety of delicious Indian dishes from local restaurants, and a lively festive bazaar. The celebration culminated in the symbolic burning of Ravana’s effigy, marking the victory of good over evil. Esteemed dignitaries such as Dr. Harpreet Cholia, Ms. Carolin Friedrich, Mr. Wolf-Dieter Hasler, Mr. Kerry Reddington, and Mr. Steve Schwab also graced the occasion, highlighting the event’s significance in fostering community ties and cultural exchange.
