India in Germany (Consulate General of India, Frankfurt) organised a German-India Business Round Table (GIRT) on the theme “Indo–Europe Business Outlook — Towards Free Trade in 2026” in Düsseldorf on 11 November 2025. The discussion focused on the evolving landscape of the EU–India Free Trade Agreement and its potential to reshape bilateral economic engagement.
Consul General Ms. Shuchita Kishore, in her opening remarks, provided an overview of the historical progress of the EU–India Free Trade Agreement and underlined the wide-ranging opportunities it presents for enhancing trade, investment, and economic cooperation.
Participating industry leaders, experts, and stakeholders expressed optimism that the agreement would lead to deeper collaboration in business, commerce, and investment—strengthening the economic partnership between India and Europe in the coming years.
