Faroe Islands Prime Minister Charts New Avenues in India Relations

Visit of Faroe Islands Prime Minister to India Denmark
This week, Prime Minister of Faroe Islands, Mr. Aksel Vilhelmson Johannesen was on a visit to India.
During his visit to India, the Prime Minister held several important meetings and engagements. The Prime Minister met with External Affairs Minister of India, Dr. S. Jaishankar, both the ministers discussed about cooperation in the field of Fisheries, IT, healthcare & exchanged views on Artic policies of both the nations. He also held meeting with Dr. L. Murugan, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and IT, Government of India.
The Prime Minister of Faroe Islands, during his visit to India, also participated in 2nd CII India Nordic-Baltic Business Conclave, held in New Delhi from 22-23 November. The conclave also saw participation of various stakeholders from Faroe’s and Danish side. During his visit, the PM also met with Sh. Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce, Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution & Textiles of India.
We believe that the visit of Prime Minister of Faroe Islands will set a new direction in strengthening bilateral relations between India and Faroe Islands.
