The Consulate General of India, Frankfurt, in collaboration with Utkal Samaj Rhein Main e.V. and Odia Samaj Frankfurt e.V., proudly hosted Odisha Tourism Day on 28 March 2026.
Shri Vibha Kant Sharma, Consul (PIC), warmly welcomed members of the Indian diaspora and encouraged them to inspire their German friends and families to experience Odisha’s vibrant culture and scenic beauty.
The event featured a state tourism video by Mr. Bibhu Mohanty, highlighting Odisha’s breathtaking landscapes and historic monuments. Ms. Swati Rane, founder of Inheritage, offered a fascinating presentation on Odisha’s traditional art forms, including the exquisite Pattachitra style.
Attendees were mesmerized by a graceful Odissi dance performance by Ms. Trupti Nadkarni, beautifully showcasing the classical tribhangi posture. Dr. Priyambada Parhi illuminated the richness of Odia literature, adding depth to the cultural showcase.
Members of the diaspora, including Dr. Soumya Prasad Kar, Ms. Monalisha Mohanty, and Ms. Chandini Patnaik, shared their personal journeys and experiences of life in Germany, fostering a sense of community and cultural pride.
