” a show bilingual lsf, a journey to the heart of Indian dance, martial arts, singing, spoken voice and music to Indian sonorities. 5 Artists you plunge in this story is inspired by the work of the Indian Poet Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel Prize for literature in 1913.”
In the distance, in the east, in the mountains of the enchanted kingdom of Manipur, where I come from, I’m the warrior princess chitrangada. ”
Inspired by the great indian epic the Mahabharata, chitrangada is the story of a warrior princess who sees his love rejected by the hero arjuna. Only daughter of the king of Manipur, it is obliged to become the heir to the throne of his father. High as a boy, the young princess likes to hunt and protect the villagers of wild beasts; she is trained in affairs of state and soon replaces his father aging at the council of ministers. Yet, in the course of the show, we see his mind waver in the name of love. To Charm Arjuna, she’s going to ask the God of love to give him a perfect beauty, but the truth evades him. She finally make his true identity and will go to her lover in his “true form”.
