EU Ambassador Hervé Delphin joined Hon’ble Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for the grand inauguration of Avakai: The Amaravati Festival of Cinema, Culture, and Literature in Vijayawada.
Inspired by the iconic avakai mango pickle, the festival brings a distinctive cultural zest to the banks of the Krishna River, celebrating Telugu storytelling, cinema, heritage, and community.
Delivering the keynote address, Ambassador Delphin remarked that the dynamism of Andhra Pradesh resonates strongly with the European Union. Curated and organised by Teamwork Arts under the leadership of Sanjoy K. Roy, Avakai was described as a vibrant confluence of heritage, art, and people.
Expressing gratitude to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for its warm hospitality, the EU reaffirmed its interest in deepening collaboration, cultural exchange, and creative partnerships with Andhra Pradesh as part of the growing 🇪🇺 🇮🇳 relationship.
