AKAM-Iconic week in 2022 (08-15 January)
‘AKAM special week in January 2022 with the theme “Tagore: Century of connecting Ganga and Vltava through Music and Culture”, would be celebrated with Indian community and friends of India in the Czech Republic by organizing the following events:
January 8: INAUGURAL EVENT
Event | 1000 hrs: Floral Tributes by Ambassador at Thakur Rabindranath Tagore’s bust at Thakurova.
→ 1100-1300: Rangoli: a cultural event showcasing AKAM celebrations and vivid art & culture of India.
January 10
:→ 16:00-1700 hrs World Hindi Day Celebrations
January 11:
200-1300 hrs Talk by Ambassador on Export potential of Czech Republic at ICICI webinar.
| 1700-1930 hrs Celebrations of National Youth Day
January 12:
10-11:30 hrs: A seminar on the Topic: Yoga and mental health, benefits of yoga and meditation in reducing impact of the COVID pandemic. → Swami Vivekananda Birth Anniversary to commemorate birth on this day in 1863.
→ Presentation of bust of Tagore at Komaravice.
January 13:
1 1930 to 2200 hrs: Concert by Mr. Debashish Chaudhuri (Pravasi Bhartiya Sammaan awardee) based on songs of Rabindranath Tagore at Karlovy Vary (symphony Orchestra at Karlovy Vary)
January 14
→ 1600 to 1730 hrs: Pongal Celebration with the Indian Community. To feature a talk on socio-cultural traditions related to Pongal. Including Makar Sakranti celebrations.
January 15
→ 1600 hrs: Spirituality of India : Embassy of India & ISCKON to organise discourse on Bhagavad Gita in local language & singing of devotional songs
