Embassy of India in Helsinki Celebrates 77th Foundation Day of ICCR; Ambassador Hemant H. Kotalwar Felicitates Winners of Madhubani Painting Competition Organized with BJPF Finland
The Embassy of India in Helsinki commemorated the 77th Foundation Day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on 9 April 2026, celebrating India’s longstanding commitment to cultural diplomacy and international cultural exchange.
On the occasion, Hemant H. Kotalwar, Ambassador of India to Finland, felicitated the winners of the Madhubani Painting Competition, organized in collaboration with the Bihar Jharkhand Parishad Finland (BJPF).
In his remarks, the Ambassador highlighted the important role of ICCR in promoting India’s rich cultural heritage across the world and strengthening cultural diplomacy by fostering deeper people-to-people connections between India and Finland through art, culture, and educational initiatives.
