The Embassy of India in Dublin is pleased to announce that Manish Gupta, Ambassador-Designate of India to Ireland, has assumed charge of his duties at the Mission.
A senior officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), 1998 batch, Ambassador Gupta brings over 25 years of distinguished diplomatic experience. Prior to this assignment, he served as the High Commissioner of India to Ghana, where he contributed significantly to strengthening India’s diplomatic, economic, and cultural engagement with West African countries.
During his career, Ambassador Gupta has held several important positions in India and abroad, including diplomatic postings in New York, Brussels, Dakar, Istanbul, and Sydney, and key roles at the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi. He also served as Political Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations, contributing to multilateral initiatives and international cooperation.
With his extensive diplomatic experience and leadership, Ambassador Gupta is expected to further strengthen the longstanding and friendly relations between India and Ireland, as well as deepen engagement with the vibrant Indian community in Ireland.
