In order to investigate innovation and biotechnology partnerships, an Indian group headed by Dr. Ram Vishwakarma (Distinguished Scientist, CSIR), Dr. Nalam Madhusadhan Rao (CEO, AIC-CCMB), and Cmdr. Amit Rastogi (CMD, NRDC) traveled to Hamar, Norway, on November 25. Frank B. Larsen, CEO of Klosser Innovation, engaged with the delegation.
Dr. Kristiane Haug Berg gave a presentation on Norway’s agrifoodtech advances centered on sustainable food production and export, while Prof. Rafi Ahmad of Inland University, Norway, offered views on innovative diagnostic techniques for addressing antimicrobial resistance (AMR). She also presented startups such as Geno and DigiFarm. The team attended talks on Gamete and Embryo Research by Prof. Elisabeth Kommisrud, Prof. Carlos Medina, and Vegar Ottesen from INN (Inland Norway University).
They also went to MUSA, a project that uses mushroom-based methods to increase the production of non-meat protein and promote sustainable agriculture. In order to strengthen Indo-Norwegian collaborations on innovation and startup, particularly in the biotechnology sector, useful talks were conducted.
