On 30 March 2026, the Consul General had a fruitful meeting with Marco Salvadè, President of AICMIT, at the Consulate. They discussed ways to strengthen business linkages between Indian and Italian firms in the textile machinery sector. Italy is one of the major source countries for textile machinery imports to India.
The meeting also explored opportunities for technology collaboration, knowledge exchange, and increased industry partnerships between companies of both countries. Both sides emphasized the importance of innovation and sustainable manufacturing practices to further deepen cooperation in the textile machinery industry.
