Subject:   Resumption of Indian Tourist Visa

Consulate General of India in Munich is pleased to announce that Government of India has resumed grant of Tourist Visa to foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism. Following are the details:

(a)Foreign nationals intending to visit India for tourism purposes will be

allowed to enter India on e-Tourist /Regular Tourist Visa through chartered flights (for group tourism only) from 15 October 2021.

(b)All individual foreign nationals intending to travel to India for tourism

purposes by any commercial flights would be permitted to enter India from 15 November 2021.

(c)All foreign nationals would be required to obtain a fresh e-Tourist

/Regular Tourist Visa. Existing valid e-Tourist Visa/Regular Tourist Visa continue to remain suspended.

(d) Fresh single entry e-Tourist/Regular Tourist visa shall be valid for

30 days and visa holders will be permitted to enter India by sea routes or by flights.

However visa holders will not be permitted to enter India through land check-posts.

https://indianvisaonline.gov.in w.e.f. 12th October 2021.

  1. The Government of India is pleased to inform you that the first five hundred thousand e-Tourist/Regular Tourist Visa will be issued free-of-cost.
