The Consulate General of India, Munich, hosted a conference titled “Workforce Without Borders” on 27 August 2025, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss the opportunities and challenges of skilled workforce mobility in today’s interconnected world. The initiative aimed to foster dialogue on innovative solutions to talent exchange and skill shortages.
CGI Munich Hosted ‘Workforce Without Borders’ to Advancing India–Germany Mobility and Collaboration
The conference built on the Migration and Mobility Partnership Agreement signed between India and Germany in 2022, which seeks to deepen bilateral cooperation, open new avenues for professional engagement, and strengthen frameworks for mutually beneficial workforce mobility.
Distinguished participants included representatives from the Bavarian State Chancellery, IHK Munich & Oberbayern, IHK FOSA, the Representative of Baden-Württemberg in Maharashtra, and leading HR consultants.
The exchange of perspectives highlighted the importance of collaborative approaches to ensure smoother mobility of skilled professionals while addressing the evolving needs of businesses and the aspirations of skilled youth in both India and Germany. The Consulate reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating dialogue, building partnerships, and creating platforms that further advance India–Germany cooperation in this vital area.
