CG Soumya Gupta Strengthens Bremen–India Ties with Focus on Space & Research Collaboration
Consul General Ms. Soumya Gupta of the Consulate General of India, Hamburg met Mr. Andreas Bovenschulte, Mayor of Bremen and President of the Bundesrat, at the historic Bremen Town Hall.
The meeting reviewed the positive momentum generated by the recent visit of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to India and discussed avenues to further strengthen Bremen–India cooperation. Both sides exchanged views on expanding collaboration in space science, advanced research, innovation, and technology, leveraging Bremen’s strong ecosystem in aerospace and India’s growing capabilities in space and scientific research.
The interaction reaffirmed the shared commitment to deepening India–Germany partnerships at the regional level, fostering innovation-driven cooperation and people-to-people ties.
