On 9 July 2025, Consul General Mr. B. S. Mubarak met with Mrs. Elena Yorgova-Ramanauskas, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs of Saarland.
During the meeting, the State Secretary highlighted Saarland’s strong interest in deepening cooperation with India, particularly in areas such as skilled migration and mobility—with a focus on healthcare professionals—alongside key sectors like digitization, cybersecurity, environmental sustainability, student exchange, automotive technologies, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
Once known for its mining and steel industries, Saarland has evolved into a dynamic, diversified economy with robust industrial and service sectors. The discussion also touched upon Saarland’s intent to foster partnerships with Indian states and expand business and academic collaborations.
