Timeless Tales for Young Minds in Berlin
The Embassy of India, Berlin and the Tagore Centre hosted a special cultural evening introducing children and families to the magical world of the Panchatantra — India’s ancient collection of animal fables that has inspired storytelling across cultures for centuries.
Designed for children aged 4–8 years, the event brought these classic tales to life through dramatic narration, immersive soundscapes, and live Indian classical music. Dating back to the 3rd–6th century AD, the Panchatantra continues to enchant young audiences with stories of wisdom, friendship, and moral choice.
Artists Ravi Srinivasan, Sebastian Dreyer, and Silvia Ladewig captivated the audience with an interactive performance, accompanied by the soothing notes of sitar and tanpura, creating an atmosphere of imagination and joyful cultural discovery.
Ambassador Ajit Gupte, Mrs Priti Gupte, Director ICCR Germany – Indisches Kulturzentrum (TTC) @trishasakhlecha, and officials from the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs were present at the event.
Presented in collaboration with the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the evening highlighted the enduring power of India’s storytelling heritage to connect cultures and generations.
