Bridging Communities: BHRM e.V. Engages with CDU Women’s Union and Frankfurt City Leaders.
Last week, BHRM e.V. engaged in a meaningful exchange with members of the CDU Women’s Union, city councilors, and parliamentary council representatives in Frankfurt, marking an important step in building stronger community ties.
The dialogue began with warm introductions and a presentation of BHRM e.V.’s mission—highlighting our dedication to cultural exchange and our ongoing efforts to support the Bengali and wider Indian community in Hessen.
Central to the discussion were key challenges faced by non-native communities, including integration barriers, limited representation, and unequal access to opportunities. Together, we explored potential pathways to address these concerns, with an emphasis on raising them within the parliamentary council to drive meaningful policy dialogue.
The evening concluded with an informal “Stammtisch” (regulars’ table) gathering, offering a relaxed setting to continue conversations and deepen connections with members of the Women’s Union.
We deeply appreciate the openness and engagement of our CDU counterparts and look forward to continued collaboration to promote inclusivity, empowerment, and positive change across communities.
