On 28 April 2025 in Leipzig, Ambassador Ajit Gupte attended a Make in India prototype demonstration of the Mobile Suitcase Lab—a groundbreaking diagnostic device capable of detecting contagious diseases such as Dengue, Japanese Encephalitis, Chikungunya, Malaria, and Influenza.
The innovative technology was developed by Universität Leipzig, with validation studies currently underway at AIIMS New Delhi and the CSIR Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology.
Indian companies are gearing up for a commercial launch by early 2026, marking a significant step in global health innovation and Indo-German collaboration.
