Ambassador Shambhu Kumaran met Markus Müller, Rector of Medical University of Vienna, to discuss strengthening India–Austria cooperation in healthcare and medical education.
The Ambassador highlighted the growing interest in Ayurveda in Austria and its official recognition as a system of treatment.
One of Europe’s oldest and most renowned institutions, the university is the largest medical training center in the German-speaking world.
With support from Ministry of Ayush, Government of India and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, both sides look forward to expanding collaboration in healthcare and traditional medicine.
