H.E. Mr. Akhilesh Mishra, Ambassador of India to Ireland, accompanied by Mrs. Reeti Mishra, paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble President of Ireland / Uachtarán na hÉireann, H.E. Dr. Michael D. Higgins, at Áras an Uachtaráin, Dublin.
The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the shared democratic values, cultural affinity, and historical bonds between India and Ireland. Ambassador Mishra conveyed greetings on behalf of the Government and people of India and expressed appreciation for President Higgins’ longstanding commitment to promoting intercultural understanding, inclusivity, and sustainable development.
Discussions covered areas of mutual interest including education, innovation, sustainable agriculture, linguistic and cultural preservation, and closer people-to-people exchanges. Both sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between India and Ireland.
