Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of the Republic of Croatia, Mr. David Vlajčić, met with H.E. Arun Goel, Ambassador of India to Croatia, to discuss the implementation of the recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in agriculture and allied sectors.
The MoU, signed on 18 June 2025 during the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Croatia, lays the foundation for enhanced collaboration. Both sides agreed to identify specific areas of mutual interest to advance the partnership.
Croatia expressed a strong interest in exporting agricultural and food products to India, particularly apples, cereals, spices, citrus fruits, as well as fish and fish products. Croatian companies have also shown interest in exporting apple seedlings to the Indian market.
Ambassador Goel highlighted India’s interest in expanding cooperation in the field of forestry, particularly through joint research projects and the exchange of best practices, further deepening the India-Croatia partnership in sustainable development and agri-tech innovation.
