Amb Ajit Gupte Encourages Deeper TRATON Investment & Sourcing from India
Ambassador Ajit Gupte met senior management of TRATON Group in Munich on 16 Feb 2026.
TRATON — owner of leading truck brands MAN Truck & Bus, Scania AB, Volkswagen Truck & Bus and International Motors LLC — has a global turnover of €47.5 bn.
The company sources key components from India and operates an R&D centre in Pune employing around 600 IT professionals.
The Ambassador encouraged TRATON to explore India’s rapidly expanding heavy commercial vehicle market and further deepen sourcing and technology partnerships with India.
