Advancing India–Sweden Collaboration in Research & Innovation at KTH
An inspiring and forward-looking visit to KTH’s Digital Futures Center, reinforcing the growing momentum in India–Sweden research and innovation cooperation.
DST Secretary Shri Abhay Karandikar and Ambassador Shri Anurag Bhushan were warmly received by Vice Chancellor Prof. Stefan Östlund, setting the tone for meaningful and productive interactions. The visit featured insightful exchanges and presentations highlighting KTH’s pioneering work at the intersection of technology, science, and societal impact.
Discussions focused on cutting-edge developments in 5G/6G technologies, Artificial Intelligence, life sciences, defence technologies, healthcare innovations, and urban governance solutions. These conversations underscored shared priorities and strong complementarities between Indian and Swedish institutions.
The visit also enabled open and constructive dialogue on expanding in-depth academic collaboration, joint research projects, innovation ecosystems, and talent mobility, reaffirming a shared commitment to leveraging science and technology for sustainable and inclusive growth.
