Since 2018, Councillor Areti has represented Holland Ward, actively contributing to the borough’s licensing, planning, and environment select committees. His focus has spanned key areas including housing, transport, environmental sustainability, and local advocacy. In addition to his council responsibilities, he is deeply involved with local voluntary organizations and serves as a trustee for multiple community-based charities.
Born in India, Councillor Areti earned a degree in Information Technology from the University of Strathclyde, followed by an MBA. His professional career spans technology and entrepreneurship, lending him a global outlook. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Europe India Centre for Business and Industry (EICBI) and chairs an international relations think tank—roles that reflect his dedication to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and global engagement.
