The Embassy of India in Berlin, under the initiative “India in Germany,” hosted a successful seminar on January 30, 2025, titled “Railway & Railway Supply Industry in India – Opportunities for the German Rail Industry.” Ambassador Ajit Gupte highlighted the expanding prospects for the German railway sector to collaborate and contribute to the #MakeInIndia initiative.
The seminar featured insightful presentations by representatives from India’s Ministry of Railways, Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz), Die Bahnindustrie, the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, and the Confederation of Indian Industry. Additionally, 20 companies from both Germany and India in the railway industry participated in pitching sessions, fostering new opportunities for collaboration.
