Considering these exceptional circumstances and as a humanitarian measure, the competent authorities in India have issued the following directives:

•Overstay Penalty Waiver:
Penalties for overstaying by affected foreign nationals after 28 February 2026 (marking the commencement of the Israel-Iran conflict) will be waived.
•Exit Permits:
Exit permits will be issued to affected foreign nationals without any fee.
•Relaxation of Compliance:
Failure to obtain an exit permit or visa extension under these circumstances will not be treated as a violation of immigration regulations.

Foreign nationals arriving in India due to flight diversions will be granted Temporary Landing Permits free of charge.
All affected individuals are advised to contact the nearest FRRO or relevant immigration authorities in India for assistance.
