India Finland Unite to Unlock Quantum Collaboration Opportunities!
The recent event India means business in collaboration with Espoon kaupunki – Esbo stad – City of Espoo and Enter Espoo brought together the quantum powerhouses of India and Finland to explore collaboration opportunities in the Quantum Computing sector. With India’s vibrant scientific community and technological prowess, combined with Finland’s collaborative ecosystem and commitment to next-generation computing, the stage was set for remarkable quantum advancements.
During the event, Ambassador Raveesh Kumar emphasized the strategic perspective required for Quantum Cooperation and urged the India-Finnish Quantum ecosystem to extend support to India’s National Quantum Mission.
Executive Director of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing Col. Asheet Kumar Nath took us on a captivating Quantum Journey of India, highlighting the immense opportunities the country offers to the world. He also emphasized the significance of the National Quantum Mission in driving quantum advancements.
The Mayor of Espoo Jukka Mäkelä shared insights into Espoo’s innovation potential and warmly welcomed Indian companies to consider establishing their businesses in Espoo, offering a promising environment for growth and collaboration.
Jarno Limnell, Chair of Espoo Council and Member of the Finnish Parliament, delivered a compelling presentation on Finland’s quantum computing advancements and the transformative impact of technology on our world.
Ossi Ritvos from Enter Espoo shed light on why Espoo stands out as one of the most promising places to do business in Finland, with its conducive ecosystem and forward-thinking approach.
Ville Kotovirta, Leader of VTT’s Quantum algorithms and software team, showcased VTT’s exceptional research facilities, underscoring their dedication to quantum research and development.
The event also featured an intriguing panel discussion, where experts delved into the challenges hindering deeper quantum computing collaboration between India and Finland. They proposed strategies and means to propel this cooperation forward, paving the way for enhanced partnerships and breakthroughs.
