263 Indian students & compassionate cases departed for India by special AI flight from Rome fulfilling our commitment to ensure their safe return home.
Air India operated a special evacuation flight to bring Indians back home from Rome. The Boeing 777 will departed from Delhi at 2.20 pm Saturday with four pilots, with one set (captain and first officer) operating the flight each way. It is expected to return to Delhi by 7.30 am on Sunday. “The number of passengers around 280 boarding is completed in Rome,” said an AI official.
