The 8th India–Denmark Foreign Office Consultations (FOCs) were convened today in New Delhi, co-chaired by Secretary (West) Shri Sibi George and Ms. Lotte Machon, State Secretary for Foreign Policy of the Kingdom of Denmark.
During the meeting, both sides conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing initiatives under the India–Denmark Green Strategic Partnership and assessed progress made through the Joint Action Plan (2021–26). They acknowledged the strong momentum in bilateral ties, driven by shared values, green ambitions, and expanding economic engagement.
The two delegations reaffirmed their commitment to broadening and deepening cooperation across a wide range of areas, including:

They also highlighted new opportunities in defence and security, new and emerging technologies, and Arctic collaboration, reflecting the evolving global challenges and shared strategic priorities.
Both sides reiterated their strong and unequivocal stance against terrorism, stressing the need for coordinated global action to combat the threat in all its forms and manifestations.
As a trusted and important partner in the European Union, Denmark reaffirmed its support for the early conclusion of the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, especially during its ongoing Presidency of the Council of the EU—a crucial window for advancing the negotiations.
India and Denmark also exchanged perspectives on key regional and global developments, agreeing to strengthen cooperation in multilateral forums and deepen their partnership for global peace, stability, and sustainable development.
