Volunteering, school, the Science Olympiads: Nitya Rajan is juggling it all. As co-president of the association Macrocosm, Nitya is advocating for a sustainable future.

18 yr old Swiss of Indian origin girl Nitya Rajan wins national level GOLD in Swiss Philosophy Olympiad 2021. Her school St Michel is an old-medieval Swiss all boys preacher school that stands for patriarchy. She thus breaks #glassceiling in a field like philosophy which is male-dominated for centuries. Swiss media writes “her thoughts have the value of Gold”. Workshops, camps, exams and competitions for more than 4,000 talents in biology, robotics, chemistry or philosophy. Women are underrepresented in Philosophy, which is a male dominated field in Switzerland. During the online awards ceremony on March 21, it was announced that Nitya Rajan shares her gold medal with another Asian girl, 16 year old Yuhua Gao.
