India Shines at the International Christmas Fair, Nicosia!
High Commissioner Mr. Manish Prabhat inaugurated the High Commission of India Pavilion at the Grammar School, Nicosia, celebrating India’s vibrant craft, culture, cuisine, and tourism. The ceremony was joined by Senior Headmaster Stephen Patsalos, Second Headmaster Costas Christoforou, and the school faculty.
Highlights of the Pavilion:
🎨 Indian Crafts & ODOP – Handicrafts from Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and tribal artifacts showcased India’s timeless artistic traditions.
📸 Cultural Experience Zone – Kathakali-themed photobooth, Madhubani paintings, curated displays, fusion dance by diaspora members, and a traditional henna corner.
🍛 Indian Cuisine – Visitors savored the rich flavors of India from North to South.
🌏 Incredible India Tourism – Focus on Kerala, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, with flyers highlighting key tourist destinations.
High Commissioner Prabhat emphasized India’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and thanked the Grammar School for fostering cross-cultural understanding between India and Cyprus.
